When you've been let down numerous times by people you once loved and were so close to, you start to find it difficult trusting people. You build up a wall and make it extremely difficult for people to knock down. Many acquaintances, but only a few friends. The past has turned you into a bitter person and therefore you feel like every guy/girl that you meet is going to hurt you. So when you finally meet someone who’s nothing like anyone you have ever met before, you start to look at things in a different point of view. Just when you thought you wouldn’t be able to trust another person, someone comes along and changes things. Just when you were feeling hopeless, someone comes around and knocks down the wall you have build up. It’s a good feeling you have going on there, huh? Knowing that you have someone you can turn to, someone you can open up to, someone you can actually trust. But once that person lets you down, what happens? That’s when you ask yourself why you had put that trust in the person in the first place. That’s when you ask yourself why things are the way they are? Why is that whenever you try to take one step forward, you end up taking two steps back instead.
